Job Description

Summary

Are you a digital product designer looking to impact Web3? Catalyst, part of the Cardano ecosystem, seeks a skilled UX/UI Designer. Reporting to the Lead of Product Design, you’ll work with experts in product, engineering, community, and operations. At Catalyst, you’ll design cross-platform applications to bring decentralized solutions globally, supporting Cardano’s mission for a secure, transparent, and fair world.

Your responsibilities include clarifying problems, discovering opportunities, ideating solutions, and creating world-class user experiences. Success means empathizing with users, finding creative solutions, and delivering delightful experiences in a fast-paced agile environment. Your insights into user needs will shape the vision, strategy, and design of our product areas.

We value creativity, collaboration, and excellence. If you’re ready to push boundaries in decentralized applications, join us at Catalyst to help shape the future of blockchain innovation.

Duties

  • Facilitate and structure the problem discovery and solution definition for your assigned product area leveraging the expertise in your cross-functional team
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the visions and concepts are aligned with broader business goals, and are set to deliver strategic value, and contribute to the business case development
  • Facilitate cross-discipline sessions as part of early product definition – likely pulling from a tool box of lean UX approaches, design sprint and prototyping methods
  • Gather and evaluate user and business needs, in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Lead discovery initiatives to identify insights about user behaviors, pain points and needs. Share effectively those insights inside and outside the team so that they can inform decisions
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes that clearly illustrate how defined solutions function
  • Identify and analyze problems related to the overall experience and structure of the assigned product area to understand their impact and plan improvements accordingly
  • Lead design of a product area; connecting that to a broader product vision (e.g, purchase experience)
  • Design product solutions which are data informed (quant & qual) using a variety of design techniques and artifacts of varying fidelities
  • Ensure our products follow accessibility standards and create a standard by contributing to our design system guidelines
